“SPIRIT BEYOND BORDERS” is a compilation of works depicting ethnic butoh and cultural transmission.
Ethnic and contemporary butoh dances from various lands are depicted through USUGROW’s interpretation. The book is composed of six sections: “SPRIT FLOW” section with beautiful abstract ink shading on the dancer’s shadow and calligraphy harmonization, “DANCING i” section with the original cosmopolitan typeface “i” representing dance, other mural and mixed media works, etc. The book is also available as a soundtrack. The soundtrack of this book was produced by producer DJ “J.A.K.A.M.”, who was one of the major inspirations for the SPIRIT BEYOND BORDERS series.
