Slip-on sneakers were born into this world in the late 70’s, derived from California youth culture. The slip-on sneaker is one of the old school shoes that gained overwhelming support from skaters, BMX riders, and punk rockers of the same era, and later became popular worldwide. The simple construction of the sneaker made it popular as a versatile casual sneaker that could be easily coordinated with any outfit, and it became explosively popular.

Slip-ons became popular as shoes that could be easily slipped on and off without laces, as the term “slip-on” implies. They have a high reputation among skateboarders for being easy to put on and take off, and the grip, soft and comfortable sole, and overwhelming durability that can withstand skating well have made them a favorite of many skateboarders. SKATE GANG” is a sturdily designed shoe that has eliminated the slight disadvantages of conventional slip-ons, and is easy to slip on and off and stable to wear. This is the result of POSSESSED SHOE’s precise construction techniques and innovative ideas, which also focus on fabrics and sewing.

The suede material is raised on the inside of the leather, giving it a unique luster and warm impression. As a simple care to prolong the life of shoes, which is common to most shoes, waterproof spray treatment will repel water and protect them from dust and dirt.

As for skate shoes, the design minimizes heel float when kicking off on the road surface with a push, when you make an action to put your weight on the toe side, and the ollie pad part is made of a double layer of suede, so it is tough and resistant to material damage, which is its greatest feature.
These sneakers, with their stable comfort, reduced burden on the foot, and high hold, will satisfy not only slip-on freaks, but also those who are not familiar with slip-ons.

DOUBLE LAYER OLLIE PAD
The side part of the shoe that is easy to be cut by OLLIE has a two-layer structure.
The durability is high, and it is difficult for a hole to penetrate the main body.

OUTSOLE and INSOLE
Gum sole is used for the outsole.
By adopting a waffle pattern, the grip and flexibility is high.
The insole uses a high-density urethane foam material with high shock absorption.
The heel portion is honeycomb structured for durability and high wicking properties.

In the late 1980s, the brand director encountered skateboarding as an extension of the hardcore punk he was listening to at the time.
While obsessed with skateboarding, he formed the hardcore punk band THE SCUMBAG at the end of the 1980s, and the band was active for two years. In the mid 90’s, he started making skateboarding videos as a part of OPIOID VIDEO series with the riders of T-19, a skateboard brand in Tokyo, and by 2001, he had made 5 videos of skateboarding. By 2001, he had produced 5 videos. In the late 90’s, he launched the skate apparel brand RGOA with ESOW, and in 2000, he launched TRANSMIT, a domestic skate shoe brand developed in collaboration with PRO-KEDS. By 2001, TRANSMIT had released skate shoes including pro-signature series by ESOW, ZIZOW, and KIKS, but TRANSMIT was closed in 2002 and RGOA was closed in 2007. After that, he experienced full-scale industrial production of apparel and other products.
He launched POSSESSED in 2016, utilizing his experience designing shoes at TRANSMIT. He still rides skateboards and always tests products himself. Currently, he writes a column “Skateboarding: A New Learning from the Past” for VHS MAG, a skateboarding web media.
