Roberto Rodriguez, aka ERROR, was born in 1976 in Valladolid, a city in northwestern Spain.
Since his early teens, he has been using the artist’s name ERROR to create graffiti on public property and vandalize public art in the city.
In 1992, at the age of 16, he moved to Barcelona to join the punk activist movement and began distributing records and fanzines and setting up shows for local underground punk bands.
He has also been the drummer for several Barcelona hardcore bands such as MASS MIERDA, SUKO DE NABO and DESTINO FINAL, among others, DESTINO FINAL has toured in Europe, USA, Mexico and Japan and is now one of the greatest hardcore bands of all time. The band has become one of the greatest in the history of hardcore.
ERROR started tattooing in 1998, when he was 22 years old. His work reflecting the hallucinogenic effects of LSD on nature, animals, and religious symbolic staffs quickly became popular, and he began guest work in several European countries that same year.
Currently, ERROR is doing guest work in tattoo studios all over the world, including Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and has done so in over 50 locations in a career spanning more than 20 years.
ERROR’s activities are not limited to graffiti and tattoos, as he was recently commissioned by KORUNDI, the Finnish Museum of Contemporary Art, to create a huge mural on the exterior wall of the building, and has been recognized by the public art center for the value of his work by performing public tattooing sessions inside the building, further expanding the scope of his activities. He is expanding his activities even further.
This art book is a compilation of his works from the past 20 years of his history, carefully selected from what he considers to be his masterpieces. We hope that you will pick up a copy and experience his art. We hope that his wonderful art will be seen by many people. (Text by Great Dance)
