The first issue of ERECT Magazine features the San Francisco underground. The magazine features collage artist Winston Smith, V.Vale of RE/Search Magazine, Ron Turner of LAST GASP, publisher of American underground comics, photographer Charles Gatewood, and Mickey McGowan of the Unknown Museum, photographer Ana Barrado, and filmmaker George Kuchar, a major influence on John Waters.
The magazine also features works by Kosuke Kawamura, art director of the magazine, as well as works and columns by KYOTARO, Yoshitsugu Yubai, Koshi Makabe, Ayaka Kabaike, and Hiroyuki Mukawa.
