Aburadako, LIP CREAM, LAUGHIN’ NOSE, THE NURSE… D.O.T.”, a super band made up of the most important members of the 80’s hardcore punk scene, released their third album, the best album in the band’s history.

D.O.T. released their debut album in 2013, followed by the release of their second album the following year, which featured GAUZE guitarist MOMORIN, who also played as a live member. Their unprecedented original style of “Arabic hardcore,” a fusion of hardcore punk and Arabian music, had already been established with their first album, but they have been gradually updating it and expanding the range of their music. Their latest album is the best ever, and the arrangements are outstanding. The songs are boldly developed, but each song has a certain catchiness to it, and the strange power phrases are vivid and catchy. In live performances, the band is basically guitarless, but in this recording, bassist HIROSHI also plays guitar. In some parts, drummer MARU also plays guitar, which is very rare, and the arrangements are harder (M2, 7, 8). The album title “BIRDS EYE VIEW” means a “bird’s eye view” from a high vantage point, like that of a bird flying in the sky. The lyrics of this album are deeply imbued with hope and prayer for the continuation of life. The lyrics are often concerned with social issues, which is the essence of punk, but there are also peaceful lyrics that express peaceful feelings, and all of the words are dignified and powerful. HIROSHI’s talent as a melody maker is fully demonstrated, transcending the boundaries of the punk and hardcore genres and soaring beyond them. A 60-minute masterpiece that transcends the boundaries of the punk and hardcore genres.
