In 1978, the Pistols practically broke up while on tour in the United States…
At the same time, two super idols were creating a whirlwind in Japan.

I danced around on the kotatsu in my living room copying their choreography on TV. Listening back to them now, the sound of their music brings back vivid memories for me.

I remember a friend’s child wearing a toddler-size T-shirt featuring this idol, which was manufactured in the Republic of China and reimported. This rather tasteful illustration was also scanned & traced in high resolution to exquisitely reproduce it.

I’ve mashed up the demise of PUNK and the super idol of the tea room, and made it into a virtual Dio T called “Punk Lady”!

BlackDonuts started its activities in 1989, focusing on archival excavation of the past.
He collects and researches vintage clothing, sneakers, records, books, videotapes, etc., calling them “the good fortune of the city”, and his unique interpretation of them draws laughter and delight from his friends.
