| Hiroshima Denim
Hiroshima is known worldwide as a symbolic city of peace, along with the negative image of being the first city in the world to be hit by an atomic bomb.
Although Hiroshima Prefecture is a production center with excellent denim processing technology comparable to that of Okayama Prefecture, this fact is generally not well known to the general public.
We believe that the fact that Hiroshima Prefecture, which has risen from the wounds of war to become the largest city in the Chugoku region, is producing products with world-class technology is a symbol of its recovery.
With the cooperation of GUY, who has published the free zine “TO FUTURE” on August 6 every year since 2005, and has continued to send messages from Hiroshima in pursuit of peace, we (blackmeans) have launched the denim brand “hiroshima denim”.
We will deliver the message from Hiroshima to the world toward a world without war and a future without nuclear weapons. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of “hiroshima denim” will be used to support the activities of “TO FUTURE” and to make donations to the disaster-stricken areas. |
