ROCKY & The SWEDEN, who sold out their 7″ released on August 8, 2019 on the same day, and who are on the cusp of a complete revival, finally release their first full-length album in 19 years!
ROCKY & The SWEDEN, also known as HARDCORE GRASS HOPPERS, left behind “TOTAL HARD CORE” and “GOD SAVE THE GREEN”, both of which are counted as important works in the hardcore world, and are still often listed as favorites in Japan and overseas. and are still listed as favorites in Japan and abroad. We have no choice but to appreciate and enjoy the latest release from ROCKY & THE SWEDEN.
First of all, the “Rocky-ness” of the album is right in the middle of what you would expect. The new guitar work of new member KAZUKI SWEDEN should be mentioned as a new element derived from this, and the harmonies that jump out of the intro of the second track, “Voice,” are sure to shock you. Also included are “GREEN RIOT” and “WEED WEED WEED” from the 7″ released as a milestone for this album, but with some minor changes, so please listen to them and compare. The album closes with “UNITE & WIN,” which is sung by CAPTAIN “KOBA” SWEDEN. The album is a lineup that allows the viewer to fully appreciate both sides of what has changed over the years and what has remained the same.
The eye-catching jacket image was created by up-and-coming artist OKANO MASATO, who lives in New York. As with the 7-inch, the homage to the album title is also noteworthy. This is a “Total Hard Core” album that is packed with everything they have to offer.
